Pakistan just broke the world record for the hottest April day ever

Pakistan hit 122.3 degrees Fahrenheit (50.2 C) this week, marking the highest temperature recorded for the month of April - ever. The city of Nawabshah in Sindh province reported the stunning temperature on Monday, which was confirmed by the Pakistan Meteorological Department, making it a new world record. While Pakistan is getting the worst of it, a huge portion of the planet, from South Asia to Europe and parts of the US is being hit by a heat wave that threatens to become the new normal.
