The Jackson House floats at the base of a canyon in Big Sur

Copper, concrete, glass, and timber mix and blend together in this retreat located at the base of a canyon in the Big Sur area of Northern California. Fougeron Architecture designed the Jackson House as a modern holiday home on stilts that appears to float over the intact site. The house is meant to function as a place where the owners can enjoy their weekends and reconnect with nature.
