500-mile-long shark highway could become a protected wildlife corridor

A 500-mile-long shark highway in the Pacific Ocean stretches between the Galapagos Islands and Cocos Island, and scientists recently videotaped sharks traveling this swimway for the very first time. The reason? While Cocos and the Galapagos possess protected areas for fish, the shark highway is not part of those, and scientists want to transform it into a protected wildlife corridor. Related:
