Hawaii is about to ban reef-killing chemical sunscreens

Hawaii lawmakers just approved a ban on chemical sunscreens, making the state potentially the first in the nation - and the world - to outlaw the product. Chemical sunscreens are damaging to and can even kill coral reefs. Once Hawaii's governor signs the bill, the ban will take effect January 1, 2021.
