Japan considers adopting daylight savings time for 2020 Summer Olympics

This summer's heatwaves in Japan have claimed 120 fatalities and countless hospitalizations in the hottest and most humid months, July and August. The turmoil has caused government and Olympic officials to consider the benefits of adopting daylight savings time to ensure that athletes have a safer time competing during cooler hours in the upcoming games.
