Shanxi province in China is the country's primary coal mining hub and a major industrial manufacturing region. The region is now planning to voluntarily curb production of the regions goods over the course of the next three winters in an effort to cut down on smog pollution and improve air quality. This is part of a 2018-2020 anti-pollution crackdown which hopes to take proper measures in improving the environmental state and reputation of the world's second largest economy.
