Hurricane Lane is swiftly moving along its course towards Hawaii where hurricane warnings are in effect for Maui and Hawaii, also called the Big Island. A hurricane watch has also bee issued for Kauai and Honolulu's island of Oahu that are said to be hit by the hurricane as well. According to the National Weather Service the storm has now been downgraded to a Category 4 hurricane and is making landfall today.
