Abandoned house gets a gorgeous, energy-efficient refresh

Few homes undergo the tribulations of Boston Villa and surface as an architectural prize winner. For years, the house stood abandoned, serving indigent wanderers as a shelter. Dean and Lisa saw promise in the property and halfway into the preliminary stages of rebuilding Boston Villa, someone set it afire.
