This NYC skyscraper will clean the air "at a rate of 500 trees"

570 Broome, a new condominium building in New York City designed by Tahir Demircioglu of Builtd, will actually clean the air. A new facade material, developed in collaboration between sintered stone company Neolith and manufacturer PUERTi, will utilize sunshine to turn contaminating agents into salt and water vapor. The self-cleaning facade will have the same impact as if 2,000 cars were removed from roads for a year, or that of 500 trees. Related:
