UK smashes days-old record, goes without coal for 76 hours

Just over a week ago, the United Kingdom set a new record: almost 55 hours without using coal. It didn't take them long to shatter that record. CleanTechnica reported the country just went 76 hours without the polluting fuel — "for the first time since the 1880s," according to a National Grid Twitter account. Related:
