New York City passes landmark bill to cut carbon emissions of big buildings by 80%

New York City just passed a landmark bill to cut carbon emissions. City council members overwhelming voted in favor of the historic law, called the The Climate Mobilization Act, which will reduce emissions by 80 percent over the next thirty years. The most significant portion of the bill will require buildings over 25,000 square feet to reduce carbon emissions by 40 percent over the next decade.
