New bridge linking Japan and Russia could enable rail travel from London to Tokyo

The Trans-Siberian Railway is one of the longest rail routes in the world, but it could get even longer under a proposal from the Russian government. The country is reportedly in serious discussions with Japan to build a 28-mile bridge that would lengthen the line. If the bridge was built, you'd be able to travel from Tokyo to London on different routes spanning 8,400 miles. Related:
