The new Jean Nouvel-designed Louvre Abu Dhabi museum–the first universal museum in the Arab world– will open its doors to the public on 11 November. Nestled underneath a huge porous dome, the museum galleries will house an extensive collection of artworks, artifacts and loans from France’s top museums, with a particular focus on shared human stories across civilizations and cultures.
