Portland, Oregon is home to more bike parking spaces on city streets than any other city in North America. But that also means there are more opportunities for bike thieves, so the city is rolling out a new design for their bike racks designed to deter would-be thieves. Cables hidden inside the racks provide an extra layer of protection from people trying to cut through the racks to make off with a bike. Related:
