Atlanta makes rainbow crosswalks permanent as a symbol of unity

A visual symbol of pride will remain a permanent part of the urban fabric of Atlanta, Georgia. In 2015 during Atlanta Pride Week, the city installed a rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue, and on the anniversary of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting, Mayor Kasim Reed just made the colorful crosswalk permanent.
