Shark fins still being sold in US restaurants amid ban

Shark finning - the act of slicing fins off of live sharks before tossing the wounded animals back into the ocean where they sink and eventually die because they can’t swim - is such a horrible act of animal cruelty that twelve U.S. states have banned the sale of shark fins in an effort to deter the practice.
