Carnivorous marsupial alive and well after being presumed extinct for 100 years

A carnivorous marsupial thought to be extinct in the region for a century has been found alive in the Australian state of New South Wales. The crest-tailed mulgara, one of two mulgara species, is known to have endured in the arid region of Central Australia.
