Changing the price of certain foods could save thousands of lives each year

Altering the price of seven particular foods could prevent tens of thousands of deaths each year in the United States, according to a new study from researchers at Tufts University. The study, published in BMC Medicine, incorporated a comparative risk assessment model to determine the public health impact of price subsidies on healthy foods and increased taxes on unhealthy foods.
