Stanford's new accelerator on a chip could revolutionize medical care

A medical breakthrough is on the horizon, now that Stanford University researchers are developing a linear accelerator that is the size of a chip — instead of two miles long. The device is commonly used for external beam radiation treatments for patients with cancer. However, only a handful have been constructed as they are very expensive to build, maintain and operate. With Stanford’s newest technology, every hospital in the future will have access to the life-saving technology. https://youtu.be/V89qvy8whxY   In...
