Risky geoengineering research deemed safe, blocked by US

In early March, a study by Harvard, MIT and Princeton claimed that releasing sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere to cool the climate could be safe if gas injections are limited to only cooling temperatures by half of what is needed to stop global warming.
