Sinking island nation of Tuvalu is actually growing

The Pacific island nation of Tuvalo has long been considered at great risk to sinking beneath the rising sea levels of climate change. However, scientists have learned that Tuvalo is actually increasing in size, with the island's total land area having grown 2.9 percent between 1971 and 2014.
