Breast cancer spread connected to amino acid in asparagus

Scientists have linked the spread of the disease breast cancer to a compound that's in asparagus and several other foods, The Guardian reported. Studies with mice reveals asparagine drives the advance of the cancer, and when they reduced asparagine in creatures with breast cancer, the amount of "secondary tumors in other tissues" dropped.
