DFA's flood-proof towers could survive six feet of sea level rise in New York City

New York-based architecture firm DFA envisioned a cluster of 19 cylindrical apartment towers, wrapped in net-shaped window frames and lots of vegetation, for Pier 40 in Manhattan. The proposal aims to address the city’s lack of affordable housing and flood resistant buildings.
