Groundbreaking new energy storage system mounts to existing poles

Grid reliability is one concern as the world transitions to renewable energy, or as grid infrastructure ages. To ensure that stability, a power company in Toronto, Canada is testing a grid-scale energy storage system that can be attached onto the poles already present around the city. The system has been in place since August of last year, and is already displaying positive results. Related:
