Tibetan antelope are being decimated to produce opulent shahtoosh scarves

Poachers are taking advantage of the latest fashion trend to turn Tibetan antelope into expensive scarves. It takes four Tibetan antelopes to make a single opulent wrap, also referred to as a shahtoosh, and the hunt is decimating antelope populations throughout the country. Over the past century, conservationists have measured a 90 percent drop in antelope numbers, mostly due to increasing wool demands.
