Spain launches plan for 100% renewable electricity by 2050

Spain’s social democratic government has launched an ambitious plan to change the country’s electricity system by 2050. In an effort to completely decarbonize their economy, Spain will be switching their entire electricity system to renewable sources over the next thirty years with a goal of slashing their greenhouse gas emissions by 90 percent compared to 1990 levels.
