Three ocean monuments could be shrunk or opened to commercial fishing based on a recommendation from United States Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke. The monuments, two in the Pacific Ocean and one in the Atlantic Ocean, are undersea treasures, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospherics's administrator between 2009 and 2013, Jane Lubchenco, who told The Guardian, "These 'blue parks' harbor unique species, a wealth of biodiversity, and special habitats."
