The largest battery storage project in the world at the moment - Tesla's South Australia battery - has not only been helping to stabilize the grid but has been quite profitable. The 100 megawatt/129 megawatt-hour Powerpack project, operated by French company Neoen, raked in an estimated 1 million Australian dollars, around $800,000, in a few days. Related:
