Hundreds of dead sharks wash up on the shores of the Persian Gulf

Officials in Iran came across a gruesome sight this week: hundreds of dead sharks washed up on shore. The cause isn't some natural phenomenon, though. Hunters capture the sharks, saw off the fins and toss them back into the water, where they get caught up in currents and eventually wind up on land.
