US power sector CO2 intensity is now the lowest ever on record

Renewable energy is winning again. Carnegie Mellon University and Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems released their 2018 Carnegie Mellon Power Sector Carbon Index — which tracks power producers' environmental performance in the United States, and compares today's emissions to over 20 years of historical data — and the latest data offers good news.
