Offshore wind farms keep getting bigger and bigger. Ørsted, formerly DONG Energy, started construction on Hornsea Project One, the latest offshore wind project poised to claim the trophy. They installed the first of 174 monopiles at the wind farm off the coast of Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. When Hornsea Project One is operational, it could produce power for more than one million homes. Related:
