The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) Triennial is in full swing and one of our favorite pieces on display at the massive art event is the brilliant and beautiful PET lamps that combine indigenous Australian craftsmanship with recycled plastic. Commissioned by NGV, this collaborative work brought indigenous Yolngu artists and PET Lamp Project founder Alvaro Catalán de Ocón together to create unique lights made with reclaimed plastic bottles and repurposed Yolngu mats.
