American fern inspires groundbreaking new solar storage solution

One of the obstacles to widespread adoption of solar energy is storage. Scientists at RMIT University in Australia developed an electrode based on the patterns in the western swordfern that could drastically change how we store solar energy. Their electrode could boost the capacity of storage technologies by a staggering 3,000 percent.
