Redesigned Ocean Cleanup arrays to start scooping up Pacific garbage patch within a year

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch desperately needs to be cleaned up, and The Ocean Cleanup is on the job. They just raised $21.7 million from investors to begin ridding the Pacific Ocean of plastic, maybe even this year. Today CEO Boyan Slat gave the scoop on the organization's "The Next Phase" from Werkspoorkathedraal, an exhibition in the Netherlands on what they've been working on and what we can expect in the future.
