"Artificial blowhole" harvests power from ocean waves

As the world scales up renewable energy to meet the goals of the Paris agreement, the more clean sources the better. Australia-based Wave Swell Energy has designed a creative way to obtain energy from the power of the ocean. Wave energy comes in many forms: at Inhabitat we've written about buoys, floating sea walls, and floating platforms. But Wave Swell Energy takes a new approach: what CEO Tom Denniss called an artificial blowhole.
